AHG Home Warranty

After almost 11 years as a customer. I have only ever filed a few claims. They are the worst! At customer service, I called last week to make sure I had water heater coverage. Yes, no problem said the call taker. So I paid the service fee, and five days later - FIVE, the guy comes out and says I think you’re not covered. I’ve been TEN days with no water heater!!! And still don’t know if it’s getting replaced! I’ve paid over $5200 to them for the monthly fee for years, I should have just put the money in a savings account I could have had this done last week. I will tell everyone I know, every real estate agent, friend and social media....NEVER use this company. They’re. Just fleecing you for money and fix NOTHING!!! Way to take advantage of good people.

Terrible company!!! I called to report I had one of my pool pumps out. I specifically told them it was designated for the waterfall. They were quick to say yes it’s covered and collect my $65 service fee. The pool repair guy came out a few days later, determined the pump was bad, and called in to authorize a replacement. Daryl from AHG refused the repair and said the secondary pump was NOT covered. I specifically told Daryl that I told the rep it was my secondary pump and she assured me it was covered. Daryl continued to deny the claim. I called Daryl again and he assured me he would speak to his supervisor (the next day) and get my money refunded that was extorted from me. The plumbing service company that came out didn't attempt to fix the water heater. Just said its' old and should be replaced. This would have been fine if they didn't want to charge $500 to "upgrade" to current code. This upgrade including replacing 3 copper lines and a sediment trap. This is $100 in parts from Home Depot. When leaving the tech had an attitude about me not wanting to pay a 400% mark up on their cost.

1st week with Record high temperatures of the year and days over 120, my AC goes out. No AC company or contractor will work with me because I’m under a warranty with AHG. Called AHG multiple times, they’ve said they’ve scheduled multiple contractors to come out, all no shows. Finally after 5 calls I get through to one of the people they said they had scheduled, was told that he had never confirmed or been scheduled by AHG/Homestart. So for the last 5 nights my House thermostats have been maxed at 99 degrees, NO AC, dogs in the house, and I’ve been spending over $100 a night to stay in a hotel because someone doesn’t know how to do their job. Going to follow up Monday in person at their office in Mesa.

HORRIBLE Company!!! Called in a month ago and was immediately charged the $65 service fee to have a ceiling fan replaced. Was told to purchase a new ceiling fan and have it ready for technician to install. 04/06 comes around and no technician shows up. Called to see what happened and they told us that the scheduling girl filling in didn’t schedule it correctly. Then scheduled it for 04/09. Come that day we got a call that the guy didn’t have the correct size ladder and was going to have to turn it over to another contractor. That time came around and no one showed up. We were never told it was not happening that day. Called yet again to find out where the guy was and was told he would give us a call to schedule. So now we are 3 weeks out of them taking our $65 and still no ceiling fan. Guy
