Aetna

It seems the medical billing system that Aetna has is not working properly all the time? I had a wellness checkup in September 2025 which the doctor billed me for the visit. I called Aetna and asked why I had to pay for my preventative care. My insurance plan has 100% coverage for the preventative care. I should not be paying for it. Aetna told me that the conversation I had with the doctor during the wellness checkup, the Doctor billed me based on the conversation. Because the info i shared with him made him decided this is a regular office visit, not a wellness checkup. Therefore, I had to pay. This is a great lesson. I learned that I should not have answered any doctor’s questions and provided any health information during my wellness visit. Basically I should not say anything at all.

I ordered prescriptions from Aetna on September 20, 2025, it is October 20, 2025 and the prescriptions have not been delivered. I have reached out several times and they still cannot confirm when delivery is. I have been without my meds for 7 days. Do not use Aetna they do not care about their clients

Horrible customer service. I received a mailer offering a free blood test, but after completing it, I was unexpectedly charged. I spent months contacting them to correct the issue and request a reimbursement, but after repeated follow-ups and no resolution, I had to give up. Extremely disappointing experience.

If I can give them a zero I would the customer service ended the call and I have knee pain I can’t find a doctor that takes my insurance. I wouldn’t recommend signing up with them

Caught them in a lie. 4 months later they still refuse to honor what they put in writing. They will tell you over the phone and put in writing the amount they will pay. Then the medical office will continue to tell you Aetna declined to pay. So you call Aetna and they say they will pay some times & not other time. This has been going on for 4 months. I have it in writing from Aetna how much they will pay… What a bunch of amateurs who love to waste your time. Putting you on hold for over an hour. Then when you have to call back. The process starts all over again with someone new. 4 months of back and forth with nothing resolved. Their business practice is to try and grind you down until you pay what they should. Don’t let them screw you!
