Aetna in Colorado Springs

Aetna denied my medically necessary surgery for months leading up to actually having it done. After jumping through hoops to finally be awarded my surgery despite hitting my deductible they are now denying my follow up imaging. Im still having issues and my surgeon, the one who is qualified to actually make the judgment call on what is necessary for post operative care, is recommending me to have further imaging. Yet this absolute trash company is still denying me. Aetna is hands down some of the scummiest insurance in the game, not only are they unqualified to make any sort of judgement call pertaining to surgical needs, but they clearly don’t care about their patients who pay for their services.

I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in June and since then Aetna has denied 4 PET scans saying they dont deem it medically necessary and there's not enough evidence it could improve my outcome. Now I am 4 months post radiation and they are denying/ dragging their feet to approve every type of scan my doctors have ordered for my follow up. My life is literally in their hands and they seem to not care about their clients.
